  • Registration deadline is end of day Wednesday, October 10, 2018. No exceptions since final count is due at that time.  There will be a waitlist after the deadline in the event of any cancellations, but selection of entree choice will not be available for waitlist attendees.  We will try to accommodate as best as we can, but no promises will be made for entree selections after the deadline as the original attendee's selection will have already been turned into the venue.

Featured Speaker: Jillian S. Anderson, Chief Attorney for Special Victims Unit, St. Charles County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney

Jillian is the Chief Attorney for the Special Victims Unit of the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The Special Victims Unit works with the Human Trafficking Task Force to prosecute human trafficking crimes in St. Charles County. Ms. Anderson received her B.S. (1996) from Florida State University and her J.D. (2001) from George Washington University. Previously, she was an Assistant Circuit Attorney in St. Louis specializing in the prosecution of sex crimes, crimes against children and domestic violence. Ms. Anderson is an adjunct faculty member at St. Louis University School of Law and Lindenwood University.


  1. What is human trafficking?
  2. Who are the victims? Who is at risk of becoming a victim of human trafficking? Do victims of human sex trafficking self-identify as a victim of a crime and ask for help immediately?
  3. What types of human trafficking can be found in Missouri? Does human trafficking only occur in illegal underground industries?
  4. Is human trafficking a crime that must involve some form of travel, transportation, or movement across state or national borders?
  5. Vertical prosecution model—investigatory phase through conviction
  6. Partnership—what types of coordinated efforts with law enforcement, medical professionals, social workers, mental health providers, juvenile and family court professionals as well as others who work collaboratively to provide insight, guidance and support to victims and families during very difficult times.
