Our membership consists of paralegal, legal professi onals, and educators from the city of St. Louis and the surrounding Metropolitan area.

Bi-monthly membership meetings are held, except during the summer. The meetings are structured as seminars/lectures at which guest speakers present substantive topics of current interest. Notices of meetings are posted in the membership newsletter.

One of the benefits of membership in the St. Louis Paralegal Association is accessibility to the Job Bank. Law firms, corporations, agencies and others with jobs available contact the St. Louis Paralegal Association Job Bank Representative, who in turn makes the information available to any of our members upon their request. The St. Louis Paralegal Association Job Bank contains positions available for both the experienced paralegal and one just entering the work force. This service is free to St. Louis Paralegal Association members and prospective employers.

Membership is categorized as follows:

VOTING: Voting members are any individuals: 1) who have completed a formal paralegal training program at a recognized institution (as attested by an education attestation) OR who have been employed as a paralegal for a minimum of two years (as attested by an attorney-employer attestation); AND 2) who are currently employed as a paralegal.

ASSOCIATE: Associate members are any individuals: 1) who are currently employed as a paralegal (as attested by an attorney-employer attestation); OR 2) who are not currently employed as a paralegal but have been a past voting member of St. Louis Paralegal Association; OR 3) who have completed a formal paralegal training program at a recognized institution (as attested by an education attestation).

STUDENT: Student members must be currently enrolled in a formal paralegal training program at a recognized institution (as attested by an education attestation).
